Telehealth Psychiatrist in Miami-Dade County, FL

Video visits anywhere in Florida

Patients from Miami, Aventura, Hialeah and the rest of Miami-Dade County see our providers by secure video. We do not have an office in Miami-Dade, so telehealth is how we keep care close: no parking downtown, and no hour on I-95 for a 20-minute follow-up.

Visits are available in English, Spanish, Russian, Urdu, Hindi and Hebrew. Let our staff know your preferred language when you request an appointment.

Request a telehealth visit or call (754) 270-6322, Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Care we provide

Our team includes psychiatrist Dr. Andrew Rucker, DO, Dr. Murtaza Ali, DO for addiction medicine, psychiatric nurse practitioners, a physician assistant and an in-office therapist. All providers are board certified by their specialty boards. Meet the team.

How it works

  1. Request an appointment online or call us.
  2. Staff check your insurance and send a short intake packet.
  3. Meet your provider by video or in the office for an evaluation.
  4. If medication is part of your plan, prescriptions go to a pharmacy near you. Follow-ups are usually by video.

When you need to come in person

A few treatments have to start in person, such as long-acting injections and the first prescription of a stimulant for ADHD. Those visits happen at our Fort Lauderdale office, 3015 N Ocean Blvd, Ste C101, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308. From Aventura the drive is usually 25 to 35 minutes; from downtown Miami, plan on 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic.

Insurance and cost

We accept Medicare, Florida Medicaid (including Sunshine Health and Carelon), Tricare, Aetna, Florida Blue, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum and Humana. Coverage depends on your plan, so our staff check your benefits before the first visit. If you do not have insurance, ask about sliding-scale self-pay rates. See insurance we accept.

Cities we serve in this county

Patients elsewhere in Florida can also see us by telehealth.

If you or someone you know is in danger, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988 any time. In Miami-Dade County, the Mobile Response Team run by WestCare/The Village South can come to you for people of all ages: call 1-800-HELP-YOU (1-800-435-7968). We do not provide emergency or crisis care.

Who You'll See

Your care is with our team of physicians, psychiatric nurse practitioners and a physician assistant. Visits are available in English, Spanish, Russian, Urdu, Hindi and Hebrew. Our staff can help you choose someone who's a good fit.
