Psychiatric Care for Miami
We see patients in Miami from age 6 through adulthood. We don’t have an office in Miami, so you can see us by video or at our Fort Lauderdale office. That’s about 34 miles, so most of our Miami patients do their follow-ups by video and come up to Fort Lauderdale when they want to be seen in person or need an injection.
Call (754) 270-6322 or request an appointment online. We’re open Monday through Saturday, 9 to 5, and same-day visits are often possible.
Ways to See Us from Miami
- Video visits in your web browser, as long as you’re in Florida.
- Office visits at 3015 N Ocean Blvd, Suite C101, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308, about 34 miles from Miami.
- In-home visits, which insurance doesn’t cover. Ask us if we can come to you in Miami.
Getting here from Miami
Take I-95 north to Oakland Park Boulevard and head east toward the beach. Without traffic it’s about 49 minutes, but give yourself more time during rush hour. Read more about our care across Miami-Dade County.
What Miami Patients Usually Ask About
Bipolar disorder
Getting bipolar disorder under control takes a careful diagnosis, the right medication and steady follow-up. Most of that can happen over video. When you need blood work, you can go to any lab in Miami-Dade that takes your insurance.
Depression and anxiety
A lot of people in Miami don’t want to drive to Fort Lauderdale every month, and they don’t have to. Video visits work from home or anywhere private in Florida.
Medicare and Medicaid
We take both, along with most major commercial plans. You’ll know what’s covered before your first visit.
Addiction treatment
Suboxone can be prescribed by telehealth when it’s the right fit. If you’d rather have a monthly injection, Sublocade, Brixadi and Vivitrol are given at our Fort Lauderdale office.
Hablamos español
You can have your whole visit in Spanish if you prefer.

Getting Started
Our team is led by Dr. Murtaza Ali and Dr. Andrew Rucker, and visits are available in Spanish (meet the team). We take Medicare, Medicaid and most major plans, and we have sliding-scale rates if you’re paying yourself (insurance details). Once you reach out, we’ll check your insurance, send your intake forms and confirm the time and type of visit with you.
How a Video Visit Works
- Reach out. Send a request or call. Mention your preferred language.
- Insurance check. Staff verify your plan and send a short intake packet.
- Your first visit. Your provider asks about symptoms, history, current medications and your goals.
- Your plan. Prescriptions go to the pharmacy you choose, and your provider sets the follow-up schedule with you.
You need to be in Florida during each video visit. Our providers are licensed in Florida.
Care That Starts in Person
Our office is about 34 miles from Miami, far enough that most patients choose video. Most care works well by video, but two things begin with an office visit at 3015 N Ocean Blvd, Suite C101, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308: a first prescription for a stimulant ADHD medication, and long-acting injections. Non-stimulant ADHD options can usually start by video. Your provider will tell you if an office visit applies to you.
Insurance for Miami Patients
We accept Medicare, Florida Medicaid (including Sunshine Health and Carelon), Tricare, Aetna, Florida Blue, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum and Humana. Coverage depends on your plan, so staff check your benefits before the first visit. Without insurance, ask about sliding-scale self-pay rates. See insurance details.
Patients across Miami-Dade County see us the same way, and visits are available in English, Spanish, Russian, Urdu, Hindi and Hebrew.
