Psychiatric Medication Care in Fort Lauderdale and by Telehealth
Our psychiatric providers prescribe and manage medications for depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, sleep problems and substance use. Nobody gets a prescription without an evaluation first, and you’re part of the decision. We see patients from age 6, in our Fort Lauderdale office or by video anywhere in Florida. Several of our providers and staff speak Spanish.
How It Works
Call (754) 270-6322 or request an appointment online. Our staff will check your insurance, send your intake forms and confirm your visit.
Your first appointment is an evaluation. Your provider asks about your symptoms, history and current medications, then walks you through the options, including the risks, the benefits and what to watch for.
After that, follow-up visits are where you talk about what’s working, deal with side effects and change the plan if needed.

Safety First
Psychiatric medications can cause side effects, and some carry important warnings. Your provider explains these before you start, checks on you at follow-up visits and orders lab tests when a medication requires them. Lab orders can be taken to any lab your insurance accepts, including Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp. Do not stop or change a medication without talking to your provider.
Common Questions
Will I get a prescription at my first visit?
Not always. Your provider decides after the evaluation whether medication is appropriate and which one fits you.
Can medications be prescribed through telehealth?
For many medications, yes, after an evaluation, if you are in Florida during the visit. Long-acting injections are given in person at our Fort Lauderdale office.
Do you treat children?
We see patients age 6 and older. For children and teens, your provider reviews whether a specific medication is appropriate.
Can I switch from a medication another provider prescribed?
Yes. Bring your medication list and records, and your provider will review them with you.
How are refills handled?
Prescriptions are continued or changed through follow-up visits with your provider. Schedule your next visit before your medication runs out.
How do I get lab work done?
If your medication needs blood tests, your provider gives you a lab order you can take to any lab your insurance accepts, including Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp.
Insurance and Cost
We take Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana and Optum, and we have sliding-scale rates if you’re paying yourself. We check your coverage before the visit. The price of the medication itself depends on your pharmacy and plan. More on insurance.
We see patients from age 6, and same-day visits are often possible. Several of our providers and staff speak Spanish. Request an appointment or call (754) 270-6322.
We aren’t an emergency service. If you’re thinking about suicide or you’re in crisis, call or text 988. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911.
